Aims of Osteopathic Treatment
Our main aim, with treatment, is to relieve your pain and get you going again as quickly as possible.
Quite often problems causing symptoms in one part of the body are triggered by poor function in another area, where pain has not been experienced. We aim to locate those areas that would also require treatment to avoid a recurrence of the existing problem.
Unlike doctors (whose time can be scarce), Osteopaths have time to listen to their patients and consider problems that may seem quite divorced, and yet are realistically pertinent to that patient’s overall well being.
Osteopathic treatment operates as a tool to enable the body's tissues to work towards health. It aims to restore normal movement and function to those tissues that have become tight, congested or irritated and have been preventing the body from functioning properly.
